Eye Wax Comix is a creator-led comix periodical for original comics, cartoons, visual art and the culture of comic books. Published by Stable Shatter Press, we preserve our own creator-drawn identity, periodical and collecting culture within the Clendenin & Company publishing family.

Eye Wax Comix is published by Stable Shatter Press, an imprint of Clendenin & Company, LLC. The press handles publishing and distribution; Eye Wax keeps its handmade visual direction and creator approval. Human-drawn originals are not replaced by machine experiments. The periodical can introduce stories and ashcans on their way to later editions.

Expressive lines, individual styles and pictures with something to say. Eye Wax makes space for original stories and cartoons without asking every drawing to look alike.
Point of view
The story doesn't end at the last panel.
A comic is art, storytelling and a physical object all at once. The Periodical explores the artists, pages and publishing history around the medium; the Collection puts back issues and creators within reach.
Process
Some of the best stuff goes wrong first.
Open Studio brings sketches, paintings and visual experiments into view. It shows the art and the decisions behind it. Machine studies, where shown, are labeled separately from the creator-drawn comix and never substitute for original inked pages.
